Been busy at work and studies and most especially with my duties and responsibilities in the BCBP. I hope we'd still see each other sometime early next year. I was enjoying reading her post about being tagged again and I found the assignment given to her quite interesting 'cuz I thought I would be learning new things about Dharl again, most especially about songs 'cuz I really like her repertoire.

I was humming some of the songs which are familiar to me and got excited to recall some memories which came to surface while singing them. Memories of old friends and classmates and even ex-boyfriends just came rushing in hehe. I couldn't help myself from grinning when suddenly I could almost vividly recall how Darlene used to sing some of them with feelings back in High School even if she was already kinda "flat" ("Peace, Dharl!")

Well, my daydreaming was just about to start when I reached the bottom of her post only to read my name among the tagged ones. I actually blurted out aloud, "Oh no, not again! Ako na naman?"

I guess, I have to do this so as not to be left out from the trend huh?. Anyway, here goes my assigned task. I am expected to answer the following questions:

1. Is it polite to stare?
2. What are your 7 fave songs?

IS IT POLITE TO STARE? (I assume this is staring towards another person.)
For me, taking a look at someone you don't personally know or vice versa, is alright if you would just give him/her the impression (through your facial expression) that you're just admiring her beauty or his charisma, clothes or something BUT do it within 3 seconds or less only. More than that, I do believe will already make one (myself for example) uncomfortable unless the person you were staring at would reciprocate your action positively. Lucky you if you found a "natural flirt", she/he will love it but I guess, if I speak for myself, I'd rather stick to the "3-second rule".

WHAT ARE YOUR 7 FAVE SONGS?
Well, being musically inclined and used to be a member of a band, I still find time to play guitar and piano in the midst of my busy schedule. I got a long list of my favorite songs of different genres and it's very difficult to just pick 7 among them, but i guess I'll just have to strictly follow instructions.
Here are 7 of my fave songs:
1. Runaway - The Corrs
2. Pangako - Regine Velasquez
3. When - Shania Twain
4. Can't Cry Hard Enough - Bellefire
5. The Warrior is a Child - Gary Valenciano
6. Heaven Knows - Rick Price
7. Amazing Grace - Leanne Rymes

There you go. Now, the most difficult part...looking for bloggers to tag next. Ahmm...I'll pick...
Bless, Ria and Ka Uro . Representing the democratic and freedom loving people of the pearl of the orient, I am PRECIOUS LARA QUIGAMAN, from the beautiful country of THE PHILIPPINES"

The Question:
"what do you say to the people of the world who have typecasted Filipinos as nannies?"

The Answer:
"I take no offense on being typecasted as a nanny. But i do take offense that the educated people of the world have somehow denigrated the true sense and meaning of what a nanny is. Let me tell you what she is. She is someone who gives more than she takes. She is someone you trust to look after the very people most precious to you - your child, the elderly, yourself. She is the one who has made a living out of caring and loving other people. So to those who have typecasted us as nannies, thank you. It is a testament to the loving and caring culture of the Filipino people; and for that, I am forever proud and grateful of my roots and culture."

Mabuhay ang Filipino!

Be A Friend

After reading the things happening in here at blogosphere (Just click these links to find out:The Boundaries of Friendship, Ethel's Blog, Nao's Comments, To Nao Tuazon, My Dog & Me, I'm Not My Bestfriend's Chihuahua), I suddenly got discouraged and wondered if I'd just discontinue my not-so-mature hobby of blogging (3 months). But then again, my primary reason why I started blogging came to my memory (click here), so I thought why should I be bothered and influenced by those people? I shouldn't forget that there are also a bunch of no-nonsense bloggers out there who have been an inspiration to most of us, who have touched other people's lives by their posts and personal experiences and even their inner thoughts, feelings and ideas. Most of us have met each other through blog-hopping only, but I know we couldn't consider that as deep friendship but somehow, there are those who really leave a mark in our hearts which could equal (or almost) the feeling we have for our real friends and in fact some became even closer that even if they haven't met in person yet the could share things which we don't normally do with our tangible friends.

So all I can say to those concerned, try to be a friend, not an enemy, be cool, don't get too excited on biting someone without even thinking if you really do have reason to. Cast a bread, not a stone. Be angry but do not sin.

Angels in Papua New Guinea

I couldn't help but post my friends' newsletter - Carreon Chronicles (click to read the newsletter), which I received yesterday from Tito Joey, the better half of my good friend-teacher back in college, Ma'am Ayee. They lived in the US for almost a decade with their 2 kids, Janine and Joseph, but they're in Papua New Guinea now and work for God as missionaries

Ma'am Ayee (and Ma'am Tess Mendoza - also my college teacher-friend) are two of those whom I consider God-sent, my angels here on earth. They were the few people back in college who taught me how to really read the Bible and introduced to me how God is like.

Early this morning, I dreamed that I was also with them in PNG working for God as a missionary. It was so vivid, so real-like, I could almost feel how it is like to become a missionary. A few months ago, I had the chance to talk to Fr. John Flynn - a missionary priest from Finland. We had talked about how one can become a missionary but he said everyone are missionaries in one way or another, in our daily lives, to our immediate families, friends, co-workers, neighbors and even to strangers we meet everyday. Doing good, showing kindness, lending our ears, extending our hands, making a difference in other people's lives...we're already doing missionary works. Well, of course, leaving home ang going to a strange land to serve other people is also another thing, which I think is really a very noble and not very easy thing to do but for those who consider God's people above self, wow!

For us who don't have a speacial calling...let's be missionaries too in every simple way we can to help make the world a better place to live in. After all, isn't that what's life is all about? (Read: Cast A Bread).

Tag! I have just been tagged. She told me that this is what I have to do...

1. Go into your archives.
2. Find your 23rd post.
3. Post the fifth sentence (or closest to it).
4. Post the text of the sentence in your blog along with these instructions.
5. Tag five other people to do the same thing.

But I don't have 23rd post here yet. Well, I do have 23rd post in my other blog - Hezel's Haven, but it has got only few lines so I decided to write the fifth line from that post entitled Cast A Bread. (Click here to read it). And since I don't have that much posts here yet, I chose my 5th post entitled Less Blogged ^.^. Here it goes...

"For my visitors and readers most especially of Hezel's Haven , which is my first and favorite blog, I would still try to update it as frequent as possible"

Now, Berrymom tells me that I have to tag 5 people, so here they are... (I'm sorry guys, but I have to do this.)

Simply Me, Aika
Nicole's Pink Box
My Story
Heartless Desires
Peaceful Selah

I hope I don't get tagged over and over again...I better hide. I bet it will be a blast for both of them 'cuz Mai is also in New York. She's been there more than a decade now. She comes home every 2 years or so to attend our Family Reunions.

I always had the opportunity to go and work abroad since I am a nurse but I don't know, I just wanna stay here in the Philippines, live a simple life, be close to my folks and friends and serve God through the BCBP but ever since my sister left for the US and now Bingbong, I got this "thinking moments" lately. I just thought it wouldn't be so sad anymore if I work and live there too 'cuz I know I wouldn't be alone and lonely since my sister Grace and her whole family are there, Myra, Mike and their dad are also there, and now Bingbong...(and more).

Well, for now, I'll just enjoy my life here and maybe wait for some "signs" if I am really being called to work abroad or not. There are a bunch of nice and cool blogs out there that I frequently visit you, you know!

I have been blogging for just less than 2 months now and this is my 2nd blog which I formally launched just a week ago and I know I don't have that much visitors or readers but I feel kinda sad and guilty thinking I wouldn't be able to update my 2 blogs more often than I feel like I doing so.

For my visitors and readers most especially of Hezel's Haven , which is my first and favorite blog, I would still try to update it as frequent as possible. I guess some of you have received one too but I just couldn't help myself from sharing this and finally decided to post it here. I read this aloud twice and haven't stopped laughing for a few minutes. Just a nice way to begin (or end) the day... giggle till you fall off your seat...

To get the full effect, this message should be read out loud. You will understand what 'tenjewberrymuds' means by the end of the conversation. This has been nominated for the best email of 2005. I'm not really very much familiar with HTML nor I'm that good in webpage designing. For all the bloggers out there, you know how much important the side bar is. It covers 50% of our blog's beauty and over-all impact. But I am also considering my blog to be my (not yours) one-stop site. I mean, I wanted everything to be just one-click away and that includes my favorite sites and blogs and not to mention those I frequently visit for my assignments and research in Nursing 'cuz I am taking up MA Nursing right now.
